As part of a grass roots efforts to increase the number of students graduating with an information systems degree,  the Information Technology Research Institute will co-hosted the 2nd Annual Information Technology Day for Student with the Information Systems Department.  The event took place on  Tuesday March 31, 2009 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. 

Northwest Arkansas junior high and high school students were invited to the campus to hear about opportunities in the field of information technology.  The previous event brought in approximately 200 student to campus.  It was such a big hit that the number grew to more than 375 students.  Our board member companies to participate by having a booth to display, taking a seminar room and demonstrating something from their company that would be eye catching and interesting to middle and high school students, or both.
