The RFID Research Center spans many disciplines including retail, supply chain, industrial engineering, and computer science, among others. The center's base of operations is a lab which models a production warehouse and retail store environment in 10,000 sq. ft. of space donated to the center by Hanna's Candles and located off-campus within Hanna's manufacturing and warehouse facility. RFID Improves Inventory Accuracy, University of Arkansas Study Finds
Preliminary analysis demonstrated that an automated, RFID-enabled inventory system improved accuracy by about 13 percent in test stores compared to control stores.
